Stratum – a new brand in optical network solutions

Comtech Ltd. introduces Stratum as the new brand for its optical transmission network solutions, offering a unified and highly scalable portfolio designed to meet modern network deployment and operational requirements.

Within the Stratum brand architecture, DAA solutions are marketed as Stratum CorX, while FTTB systems are available under Stratum LinX. Alongside the rebranding, both product families have been expanded with targeted developments, shaped through close technical collaboration with customers.

The Stratum CorX portfolio is extended with the CX-RMV1-1x-R2 Remote-MACPHY node, based on the Vecima SC-1D RMD module. Its rack-mountable design, flexible RF configuration, and 230 V AC or -48 V DC power supply options make it a highly efficient solution for distribution network deployments.

The Stratum LinX family is strengthened by the LX-RA-R1-116 and LX-RA-R1-208 inverse nodes. Featuring MDR receiver technology combined with a DWDM forward path transmitter, these devices enable high-density and flexible segment delivery in FTTB environments.

When deployed together, CorX and LinX devices can be interconnected using a single coaxial cable to form a cost-efficient Remote-MACPHY-based system, capable of serving widely distributed modems across large areas. With the introduction of Stratum, Comtech Ltd. further reinforces its commitment to future-proof, market-driven, and customer-focused network solutions.
