v-HMTS - Monitoring for DAA

The v-HMTS (virtual HMTS) replaces traditional hardware-based HMTS systems by computing the waveform of an FSK (Frequency Shift Keying) carrier modulated with SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) messages. It then encapsulates this waveform into L2TP (Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol) IP packets and transmits them over the network. The RPD (Remote PHY Device) or RMD (Remote MacPHY Device) utilizes this digital data stream to generate an analog FSK carrier in the forward RF spectrum, ensuring full compatibility with the existing infrastructure.
